As the Government progresses the lifting of restrictions, you will want to know how and when we plan to lift current restrictions within our Leisure Centres, Gyms and Pools

Membership fees and adjustments

Memberships remain reduced at 75% of our standard prices, allowing you to continue benefitting from a temporary reduction of 25%, which will be reviewed on a monthly basis. You do not need to take any action at the bank as Direct Debits have been automatically adjusted. Freezing Your membership

Should you wish to freeze your account you can of course do so with a standard £5 holding fee per month, or if you are unable to attend due to a medical condition, there will be no charge where sufficient medical evidence is provided. Please contact our Membership Team at [email protected].

All freezes are for a maximum period of 3 months.

Planning your visit

Building a safe and Covid-19 free environment for all

Keeping our staff and members safe is our number one priority. While your visits may feel a little different, our centres will continue to provide you with an excellent experience each visit. We’re striving to offer the best centre experience possible, so head down to your local centre and enjoy one of the great activities available for yourself and/ or the family; you can do so knowing we have extensive cleaning protocols and social distancing practices throughout our centres to ensure you remain safe whilst keeping active.

Key rules in keeping you and our staff safe on your visits

All visitors must wear a mask throughout the centres unless medically exempt as per government rules.

Please follow all social distancing and one way markers throughout our centres, staff will be on hand to help guide you through, if you’re unsure.

Our showers are only to be used for a brief rinse down after a swim and no products are to be used. This is to allow time for sufficient cleaning which has been scheduled in-between sessions.

Hand sanitising stations and wash basins are provided throughout our centres. All visitors must sanitise on entering the centre and are encouraged to use them along with the provided sanitation spray bottles for equipment throughout our facilities.

All centres have a QR code on display and require members to scan this upon entry using a smartphone or the NHS COVID-19 Test and Trace app, as per Government guidelines. The NHS COVID-19 app support website – NHS.UK.

If you or anyone you have been contact with have signs or symptoms of Covid-19 please do not enter our facilities, for the safety of our staff and members.

Tours and visiting the centre

To help you get started, we provide personalised tours with one of our Team members at each centre. Keeping our staff and members safe is our number one priority so please ensure you follow all COVID-19 procedures throughout your tour.

Hygiene and Cleanliness

Following Government guidance we have reduced the amount of customers on site in line with social distancing measures. Regular deep cleans are scheduled throughout each day using approved COVID products. We have added additional cleaning of all hard surface touch points throughout our sites. We have also changed our closing hours to allow for a full end of night deep clean before welcoming our customers the following day. Members are provided with ample disinfectant stations to clean the equipment being used before and after their use.

What happens with my membership now the Centre’s are open?

Can I book online for activities?

We are pleased to confirm our Online Booking system is available, you can continue to be able to book from the earlier time of 10pm for all of our activities. Please check our website for your updated local Centre opening times.

How do I sign up for a membership?

Becoming a Member of Tendring Leisure Centres has never been so easy, to get started you can join online which will guide you through all the Memberships we offer to find which one suits you best. You can of course still join at the centre, where a member of our team will be happy to help.

Will I be refunded for activities, lessons or courses I have paid for and couldn’t attend due to lockdown?

All previous activity bookings have now been credited to your accounts to use, just let our Reception Team know when booking if you wish to use these. Should you feel like your credits are incorrect then please email [email protected] .

How do I cancel my membership?

We are sorry to hear your thinking about leaving. One full calendar month written notice must be given to cancel all Direct Debit Membership types, and you can do so by filling in a cancellation form at your local centre or by emailing your local centre with your reason for cancellation, full name and membership number. Please be sure to include details for each person cancelling.
