The Gym

At Brightlingsea you have a choice of two accessible gyms.

One with 14 stations of cardio equipment and another studio with 11 different strength and resistance machines.

Both suites also feature dedicated areas for those who enjoy using free weights.

Juniors aged 12-15 can take advantage of our Junior Gym sessions, which give them access to our cardio and training areas while teaching them how to safely use gym equipment and the benefits of forming long-term healthy habits.

Dance Studio, Spinning Suite & Sports Hall

Our spacious mirrored dance studio is the setting for our regular Pilates and yoga classes, both low-impact options that focus on building core strength and flexibility.

This studio is also available for private hire and makes an ideal setting for a children’s party, with plenty of space for serving food.
Spinning is one of our most popular classes, so we have transformed a former squash court into a dedicated space for our spin sessions, complete with 18 state-of the-art bikes.

Other regular classes take place in our sports hall, including HIIT, Legs, Bums and Tums, Circuit Training, Body Pump and Body Conditioning. All of these options are designed to help you get lean and toned while improving your overall fitness.

Our classes are open to anyone over 16 and our instructors will always offer a friendly welcome and tailored advice on getting the most from your class.

You can also book the pitch for children’s football parties – perfect for birthday celebrations!

Sports Halls, Tennis & Squash Courts

Boasting four badminton courts, one squash court and a cricket net, our sports halls are real hives of activity all year round.

They’re also the setting for many of our activities for children, including trampolining courses (offered in term time) and school-holiday sessions, which children can attend with parents/carers from age three and without parents/carers from age eight.

Our halls also make fantastic venues for birthday parties – and we can even supply soft-play equipment or sporting activities to keep your guests entertained!

In the summer, our five outdoor tennis courts are available for booking on a pay-and-play basis.
